Privacy Policy

Steve is operated by Reischig Industries s.r.o. (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@getsteve.app.

• Account data — your email address and, if you choose to add it, your name and handicap.
• Golf data — the rounds, shots, clubs, and notes you save in the app.
• Device and diagnostics data — device model, app version, and crash reports used to keep Steve working.
• Location data — your GPS position is processed live to calculate distances and strategy. It is stored with a round only when you choose to save that round.
• Payment data — subscriptions are handled by our payment provider Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Web analytics data — only if you consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage. Nothing is collected before you accept.

We process your data on the following bases under the GDPR:

• Performance of a contract — to provide your account and the features of the app.
• Legitimate interests — to secure the service, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
• Consent — for web analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We use carefully selected processors to run Steve:

• Google Firebase (authentication, Cloud Firestore, hosting) — Google LLC.
• Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — subscription payments.
• Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution.
• Google Analytics 4 — website analytics, activated only with your consent.

These processors act under data-processing agreements and only process data on our instructions.

We keep your account and golf data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days; backup copies are removed within 90 days. Aggregated analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics tool.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise any right, email us at hello@getsteve.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) or your local supervisory authority.

This website sets no tracking cookies by default. A single local storage entry remembers your cookie choice on this device. Google Analytics 4 loads only after you press “Accept” in the consent banner; if you decline, your visit is not measured in any way.

Steve is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its “last updated” date. Material changes affecting account holders are announced in the app.
